Condenser Cleaning Case Study

As you would expect some environments are worse than others. Take for example the chiller at a mushroom farm, which was downwind from an area where compost was transferred and wasn't able to maintain the required temperature during the summer. The farm had been planning to replace the chiller with a larger one.

Although the coils had been cleaned 6 weeks earlier, cleaning with the correct procedure resulted in an unbelievable amount of debris being removed from the coils. Head pressure was reduced by 4 bar, which provided a 25% increase in cooling capacity, more than sufficient to maintain temperatures throughout the summer.
